1. Purpose and legal notice
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Anawiri mobile app and the anawiri.com website, published by:

By using Anawiri, you accept these Terms of Service in full.
2. Description of the service
Anawiri is a nutrition and health tracking app that offers:
- A food journal with calorie, macro, and micronutrient tracking
- A barcode scanner and photo-based meal recognition
- Personalized recipes based on your profile
- Optimized shopping lists
- Weight and goal tracking
- Syncing with connected wearables
- Educational content on nutrition and health
3. Registration and account
- Registration is free and required to use the service
- You must provide a valid email address
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential
- Only one account per person is allowed
- You must be at least 15 years old (the digital-consent age applicable to our EU-based data processing)
4. Plans and pricing
Free plan:
- Food journal (3 meals/day)
- Basic calorie and macro tracking
- 5 recipes per week
- Barcode scanner
Premium plan:
- All free features
- Full micronutrient tracking (134 nutrients)
- Unlimited, personalized recipes
- Unlimited AI photo recognition
- Wearable sync
- Data export
- No ads
Prices are shown in the app and billed through the App Store (Apple) or the Google Play Store (Google). Each store's subscription, renewal, and cancellation terms apply. Premium content and features may change over time; material changes will be announced in the app.
Right of withdrawal / refunds: since purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play Store, withdrawal and refund requests must be made directly with Apple or Google, under their respective policies.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- Use the app as intended
- Not attempt to bypass technical protections
- Not use the app for commercial purposes without authorization
- Not transmit illegal or harmful content
- Provide accurate information when registering
6. Intellectual property
All elements of the app (code, design, text, images, the Anawiri brand) are protected by intellectual property law. Reproduction, even partial, is prohibited without prior authorization.
7. Nutrition data
Scientific sources: nutrition data comes from the CIQUAL 2025 database (French food safety agency ANSES), EFSA references, and WHO recommendations, cross-referenced with US references such as USDA FoodData Central and FDA Daily Values where relevant. BMR calculations use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation (1990).
Information provided by Anawiri is for informational purposes only and never replaces professional medical advice.
8. Health disclaimer — not medical advice
Anawiri is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The app provides information and tracking tools for educational and wellness purposes only.
- Scores, biomarker analyses, nutrition recommendations, and educational content do not constitute medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment
- Always consult a doctor or a qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet, physical activity, or supplement routine — especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition (diabetes, kidney disease, an eating disorder, etc.), or are on medication
- Never stop or change a medical treatment based on information provided by the app
- Anawiri's interpretation of a blood test does not replace your doctor's or lab's interpretation
- In a medical emergency, call 911 (United States) immediately
- Anawiri does not guarantee any outcome (weight loss, improved biomarkers, etc.), which depends on many individual factors
9. Limitation of liability
- Anawiri does not replace professional medical care; you remain solely responsible for decisions you make based on the information provided
- We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of nutrition data from third-party sources (public databases, barcode scans, photo recognition, self-reported data); it is your responsibility to verify critical information, in particular allergen content, on the product's own packaging
- The service is provided without a guarantee of continuous availability or of being error-free; interruptions for maintenance or technical reasons may occur
- The publisher's liability cannot be engaged in the event of force majeure or acts attributable to a third party
To the extent permitted by law, nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded, such as liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or bodily injury.
10. Suspension and termination
We reserve the right to suspend or delete an account in case of:
- Violation of these Terms of Service
- Fraudulent use of the service
- Prolonged inactivity (more than 24 months)
You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence, including the United States.
